1. Information We Collect

DIARYO does not collect any personal information. The following data is stored locally on your device only and never transmitted to our servers:

• Diary entries and notes
• Mood tracking data
• Photos attached to entries
• Sleep, hydration, and activity data
• Budget and financial records
• Shopping lists and habits
• App settings and preferences

2. Data Storage

All data is stored locally on your device using secure on-device storage (AsyncStorage). Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export or back it up using the built-in backup feature.

When you use the backup feature, the exported file is shared directly via your device's share sheet (iCloud Drive, Google Drive, etc.) — DIARYO does not have access to or store this file.

3. Location Data

DIARYO may request access to your approximate location solely to display local weather information. This data is:

• Used only in real-time to fetch weather from the Open-Meteo API
• Never stored permanently on your device or our servers
• Never shared with third parties beyond the weather API request

You may deny location access at any time in your device Settings. Weather functionality will be unavailable without location permission.

4. Camera and Photo Library

DIARYO may request access to your camera and photo library to allow you to attach photos to your diary entries. Photos are stored only on your device and are never uploaded to any server.

5. Notifications

DIARYO may request permission to send local notifications for daily diary reminders. These notifications are generated entirely on your device and do not involve any external servers or data transmission.

6. Biometric Authentication

DIARYO may use Face ID or fingerprint authentication to unlock the app. Biometric data is processed entirely by your device's secure enclave and is never accessed or stored by DIARYO.

7. In-App Purchases

DIARYO offers optional Premium subscriptions processed through Apple App Store (iOS) and Google Play Store (Android). All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple or Google. DIARYO does not collect or store any payment information.

Promo codes are validated locally on your device. No account or personal information is required to use a promo code.

8. Third-Party Services

DIARYO uses the following third-party service:

• Open-Meteo (open-meteo.com) — free, open-source weather API. Your approximate location coordinates are sent to retrieve local weather. Open-Meteo does not collect personal data. See their privacy policy at open-meteo.com/en/terms.

9. Children's Privacy

DIARYO is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information, please contact us.

10. Data Deletion

You can delete all your data at any time by uninstalling the DIARYO app from your device. Since all data is stored locally, uninstalling the app removes all associated data.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
